Psychotherapy, Individual and Group Therapy
Psychotherapy is a weekly mental health therapy performed by trained, licensed therapists. Treatment plans include individual, group and family sessions.
Trauma and Non-Violence Advocacy Program
This program consists of trauma assessment, treatment and education. Staff is trained by the National Victim Assistance Academy material, addressing victim assistance, crime and vicitmization, and domestic non-violence training.
Anger Management Program
Heart Ministries offers an anger management program which recognizes negative self talk and teaches clients to correct distortions and to actively choose productive self thoughts. Character education as well as emotional management training is addressed comprehensively through cognitive, behavioral and emotional components.
Substance Abuse Program
This intensive outpatient program addreses intervention and treatment of drug and/or alcohol abuse. It is an in depth alcohol and drug rehabilitation program based on mental health therapy, individual and group therapy, hypnosis with individual and group methods for both short-term and long-term recovery.
Creative Art for Healing Program
These workshops are available for adults suffering from abuse, illness, grief or stress. Artistic expression can be used as a primary therapy, or as an adjunct to other therapies. This work, in an atmosphere that deepens awareness of how we interact with the world, strengthens personal faith, and creates healing experiences.

Stress Relief Program
The Stress Relief Program is provided, through a team approach, as an integral part of Heart Ministries' Substance Abuse Program. This multi-faceted approach to stress relief includes a combination of education and experience which includes meditation, hypnosis and Tai Chi.
Literacy Program
Heart Ministries has chosen the Laubach Literacy Program as it's foundation. The new program works in six-week increments from assessment and placement in skills development with an individaul tutor to increased writing and communication experiences within a group.
Criminal Justice Advocacy Program
This type of advocacy includes representing the interests of, and offering support to women in civil and criminal legal settings. This future program will educate and guide clients through the criminal justice process and provide emotional support. We will work with the judiciary and officials to consider alternatives programs to incarceration.
